It was a worship spectacular with a grand processional fanfair featuring a variety of symbols out of the native American tradition, a choir of (I would guess) 200 voices, orchestra, organ, guitars, flutes, drums, a powerful sermon by the out-going Moderator of GA, Bruce Reyes-Chow, a baptism, and a communion service…with the benediction by the Moderator of the 219th, elder Cynthia Bolbach.
Spiritually stirring, emotionally draining – the kleenex I quickly stuffed into my pocket as I rushed out of the hotel room for worship, ..was not nearly enough.

Wow! I cannot imagine being part of such a spiritually moving worship service. Surely the presence of the Lord was in that place. Praise God that music can be such a meaningful and moving part of worship! I got the chance to hear the out-going Moderator of GA, Bruce Reyes-Chow at the Churchwide Gathering of PW last summer. I will have to search for his sermon to listen to it in the near future. This seems to be a wonderful way to get the Holy Spirit moving and the commissioners more aware of His presence with them to guide and direct them this week. Thanks for the updates.
